How to set up a new email account in Microsoft Outlook with SSL

To creat a new email account in Microsoft Outlook 2007 using the secure SSL, follow up the below steps:

1. Start Microsoft Outlook, select the Tools tab > Account Settings > then select New to add new email account.

2. In the Auto Account Setup dialog box, select Manually configure server settings or additional server types > then select Next

3. Select Internet Email > then select Next

4. In the Internet E-mail settings dialog box:

Your Name: type your full name
E-mail Address: type your email address
Account Type: select POP3 or IMAP, depending on your demand
Incoming & Outgoing mail server: type 
Username: type your email address
Password: type your email password

5. Select More Settings... > Under the new opened dialog box, select the Outgoing Server tab > then select the My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication check box.

6. And then select the Advanced tab.

  • Select the This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL) tab.
  • In the Incoming server box, type 995 (POP3), or type 993 (IMAP).
  • In the Outgoing server box, type 587.
  • In the Use the following type of encrypted connection option, select SSL.

7. Select OK to close the dialog box. Then select Next to save.

Complete account setting. Compose an email and send it.
